entry no.001

  • I apologize for my late entry into our blog.
  • Life, and death, has a way of taking over.

    • Randomness seems to be everywhere, and even as I write these words, I wonder if I am the one writing, if I am ever in control.

        •  When my dad died on April 1st of this year, understanding, organizing, compiling and searching through his affairs became my sole occupation. In his many folders and filing cabinets, I found old resumes and letters that he wrote in Peru back in the 1960s.

            1. The manner in which his resumes were laid out were intrinsically linked to the technology that he had access to: a typewriter.
            2. But now, I am writing this using very sophisticated technology, but yet am completely informed and inspired by the old font, spacing, and indentations, thus: courier new.

these loops of time
ancestral memories
re-emerge
spontaneously
throughout a seemingly
mundane day
without any serious intention
they're just there
flowing   breathing
waiting to take place
in our everyday
happenings
